Statement of Faith

Our Mission:

Our purpose is easily defined.  We are here to win people to Christ, and to help them grow in him so they can serve Him. Everything we do, every program we run, every ministry we have, and every sermon and Bible study class we offer is done for that purpose, to bring people to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and to help them grow in Him.

Our Beliefs:

We believe: That Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God[1], and is nothing less than God Himself[2]. That the Bible is the inerrant, inspired Word of God[3]. It is our guide for living. That God is the Eternal Father[4], the Author and Finisher of all[5].  That the Holy Spirit is an inseparable part of the triune nature of God[6], and has been sent as our counselor, teacher, and guide[7] – and empowers[8] us to do His Service until the Lord returns[9]. We believe in the Unity[10] of all born again Christians though the Holy Spirit.  We desire to see a greater manifestation of this unity for the purpose of encouraging a world of lost sinners to believe and experience a new life.

Our Practices:

Baptism by immersion in water as an act of obedience symbolizing the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus[11]; and the individual’s dead to his old sinful life – his burial and resurrection into a new life in Christ[12] – and an entrance into the Covenant of Salvation.  We believe that baptism is a part of the decision to come to Christ, so we baptize all who accept Jesus. Lord’s Supper[13] (Communion) is the holiest time in our worship service – so we choose to observe it each time we gather in the presence of Christ.

Our Affiliations:

We are an independent, Christian church attempting to restore the simple New Testament church as described in Acts.  We prefer to be known as Christians only, but we are not the only Christians.  We enjoy Christian Fellowship which draws the congregation together in Love.  We joyfully give thanks for the forgiveness of sins, and new life in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.  We are dedicated to following Christ.

Our Invitation:

In the Name of our Lord Jesus, we open not only our doors, but also our hearts to you – unconditionally as did Jesus – to accept you as you are.  Together we desire to experience the wonderful Grace of Jesus, His transforming spirit, His nourishing Word, and the warmth of His Love.
